been a while since my last update. just been busy with all the logistics that come with goin' to another country for 8 days. got my re-entry permit at the chiba immigration office. it was probably my best experience there. went in the afternoon after lunch and there were quite a number of peeps there. however, when i took a number, i only had to wait for like 4 other ppl. so i quickly filled out the paperwork when my number was called. i had everything but the stamp which the lady at the counter told me to get. by the time i came back with the stamp, she had my passport all ready for me. i must've been there less than 30 min!

this past weekend we had our 5th annual (only my second) xmas party. this year was @ sean's place. a pretty good turn out and interestin' white elephant gift exchange too. i picked a bottle of nihon shuu (sake) which i was totally happy bout. but somebody "stole" it from me, so i took the gift that the person who "suggested" takin' my gift. turns out that both us don't really need that gift cuz we already have one. all in all, it was a nice, chill party. also found out that satomi is 3 months pregnant. congrats to eug & satomi! here are some pics:

watched traffic for the first time the other day. a pretty good movie. i liked the cinematography. however i didn't like seein' a plump catherine zeta.

had our 大掃除 and had to regulate on some kids.

so lark got in yesterday and she brought me...zachary's pizza! totally grubbin' yo. also wanted to say thx to tri for hookin' up all da movies.

today is the last day of school and we have teachers' rec (vball) and then our 忘年会. then i gots bball tomorrow then the famous yakitori fo dinner. then on sat, we're off to singapore and malaysia. need to get out of the freezin' cold and relax on the warm beaches.

aite, i'm outtie. have a very merry christmas and a happy new year. see ya in '06! あけましておめでとう。

- sex for an xbox?
How far would you go to get an Xbox 360? Well, if one Craigslist.org ad were to be believed, two Boston-area women would do just about anything to get their hands on the next-gen console. Under the headline "trade sex for an xbox 360," a person claiming to be a 22-year-old woman said "Me and my roommate are totally hard core gamers, but our desperate (sic) attempts to get an Xbox 360 have gotten us nothing so far." The poster told responders to "send me a photo of you holding the system, and tell me what I have to do to get it." She did not mention any particular lewd acts but said her roommate was also willing to join in, despite being "really shy." But while the poster was apparently willing to debase herself to get an Xbox 360, she still had standards. "I'm looking for the PREMIUM system, not the ****ty watered down one," she said. Was the ad for real? We'll never know. Inquiries sent to the e-mail address went unanswered, and the posting has since been removed by the ever-vigilant Craigslist Community.

it's a sad day for school lunch...

found out this mornin' that the cafeteria's fryer has broken and it's gonna take 3 weeks to fix! wtf!?! so that means the food for the rest of year is gonna be just ok, not grubbin'...

in one of my lessons i teach at nite, i learned a new word from my student: 命掛けで, which means "at the risk of one's life". another thing that i learned is about your dreams on the first nite of the new year.

tgif!!!

man, it's been a pretty long week. yesterday, i had to meet with a city council man and discuss the city's english curriculum and answer questions concernin' my feelings with bein' an alt...all in japanese!?! luckily for me, it was in a small office and not in front of the whole city council. since i was downtown, a ran a few errands and did some shoppin'. on the way back home, i ran into tomoyo. pretty random. she's back now @ narita airport from workin' @ haneda airport. gonna have dinner and catch up one of these days.

well...the weather has gotten pretty cold these days with the lows for the next few days dippin' down to the 1-3 °C (for you celsius inclined ppl, that's bout 34-37 °F). however on monday the low is gonna hit the minus mark...

just got some そば焼酎 called 雲海 (when you're at the top of a mountain and the clouds are below you, the clouds look like an ocean) from sakaime sensei. gonna try it out this weekend...

in closin', here's the latest pic of my niece, maile!
