a little while since my last post. the weather has been strange here, not officially summer yet since it's still rainin' like every other day. so there's this huge heatwave goin' on back home. some places are reaching almost 50C (about 122F)
been busy with helpin' out my old vball team and gettin' them ready for their last tournament. it's kinda crazy to see how much they've grown over in only 2 years. most have improved immensely. being with my old school has made me realize how great that it was. the students, faculty as well as the parents are so nice.
just added a new video podcast to my playlist and i must say it's pretty darn funny. if ya'll have time, check out ask a ninja or ipod users, just search the podcast section of the music store.
deathnote progress: vol.5, page 105 (read about 100 pages the other day), and the story is goin' in a whole new direction. with the recent release of vol.12 in stores, i'm almost halfway thru!

- mcdonalds has a new seasonal sandwich called the チキンサルササンド = chicken salsa sandwich. pretty grubbin' yo!
- amd & ati together. hmmm...should be an interesting proposition. i think in the long term this deal works but in the short term, i don't think so. with the conroe being a better gaming chip and sli being the better gfx option, who knows what goin' to happen.
today is tanabata which literally means "seven evenings". most of my students really don't know the story behind it. but i guess you can say the same for american students about american holidays.
a pretty lax but volleyball filled weekend. not much else goin' on except that i have tons of laundry to do.
as for da world cup, it's italy & france in da finals. since france beat my 2 teams, they're my favorite to win. plus, italy is a bunch of floppin' bastards!
since the weather has been really muggy lately and starting this past week we're able to use the brand new air conditioners in the classrooms, the 9th grade teacher threatened to turn off the a/c if they didn't become more active in class. i was surprised at how well the students reacted to the threat.
"an unidentified newspaper analyst as saying Pyongyang was prepared to answer a U.S. military attack with "a relentless annihilating strike and a nuclear war."
so italy beats germany with 2 goals in extra time. well...there goes my prediction of germany in da finals. now i'll be rootin' for portugal against france...
big ben (not the stupid nfl qb who is lucky to be alive, but that's another story) signs with the bulls. keep an eye on this team, especially if they can trade chandler for pj brown. also keep an eye on: orlando, atlanta, charlotte & new orleans
kobayashi does it again, breakin' his own record of 53 1/2 hot dogs...
