monday; 05.24

back to school.

classes were pretty interestin'. tested the 7th graders on part of their readin'. it was good to see their progression as we slowly erased words to completely erasin' the the whole paragraph.

for lunch, had some grubbin' iwashi and soup.

cut out after lunch to head to chiba but stopped by my old school cuz takahashi sensei had to give me something. saw drew (another alt, from australia, been livin' in japan for 6 years) who is now their alt.

it was nice to see the old teachers as well as mikami san. sasaki sensei said "hello" to me but he got mad at me for replyin' in japanese. headed out to the gym where the 7th, 8th graders (now, i keep on forgettin') are practicin' dancin' for their school trip. it was good to hear all the "kebin da" 's. though they looked all the same, there was something bout them that was really, really different.

hung out with takahashi sensei and then headed out to chiba to get my re-entry stamp @ the community center there. i had to take the city monorail from jr chiba station which was quite impressive. it's an overhead track monorail, kinda like top gun @ great america. had a little bit of problems concernin' my visa, so i had to get a single re-entry pass.

came back home, did some laundry and then went to ikko for dinner. saw hashimoto as well as sensei (who i haven't seen since last month). takahashi sensei called me and came thru for some snacks and he needed to talk to mama about her nephew.

tuesday; 05.25

for dinner, had some chicken wings, fried potatoes, some edamame and sushi. watched the japan men's team lose to australia. sugiyama marcos has mad hops yo! only 183cm (6ft for you non-metric) but gets almost waist high on da net!!! it went to five games but they had way too many service errors. the last game's score was 15-13.

after that, i watched london hearts and they had this nise oyaji (fake dad) interrogate this girl's b/f. man...i love that shiet!

watched two more episodes of alias last night. the plot has just turned 180.

wednesday; 05.26: one more day til i go to hawaii!!!

today is the city wide school meeting but i didn't go because 1. none of the other teachers were goin' 2. the english dept's meetin' was to go watch some movie in makuhari.

hung around school and went to watch our soccer team and soft tennis practice (since vball practice was cancelled). the girls soft tennis team is pretty good. makes my old school's team look like a bunch of wimps!

stopped off @ ikko for dinner. everyone was buyin' me drinks so for all the stuff i had, it only cost me 700yen. came home, packed a little bit, watched some of japan men's vball team (they frickin' lost to iran, i am now 100% convinced that they ain't gonna make the olympics) then took a nap for a little bit and continued to pack.
