friday, 05.14

a chillin' day @ school. finished up my 1 point english for the rest of the 7th graders. kicked it with miura sensei a bit. that guy is a trip!

played vball again. got to play swing hitter this time, a much more familiar position for me. our team's passin' was terrible, as was miyamoto san and me too. it took a while for sato chan to get her settin' to my likin', but when she did, it was perfect. the times i tried to hit inside 3m (10ft), i either didn't clear the net or i got roofed!? we lost all 3 games, again. kyoto sensei came out to observe practice and of course, got in the girls' faces.

afterwards, we all kicked it in the p.e. office. had to rush home to catch the beginnin' of the vball game.

headed to ikko, had some food while we watched the game. it was against korea, the other undefeated team. 3-0, no contest.

saturday; 05.15

woke up and headed out to ueno to watch kill bill 2 with hide. my thoughts: the story was pretty good, filled in some more background, good wrap up BUT it was really slow. when a fight scene came on, by the time i noticed it, it was already over. wasn't too much of a fan of the texas scenery either. i also liked how the endin' credits were. showin' scenes from the first and second movie. my score: 2.5 out of 5.

after da movie, we headed to kaoru's restaurant to meet up with ikko and aki. it was the grand openin' weekend. it's a fusion type of restaurant, but not the type of fusion that you're probably thinkin' of. it's a restaurant that has: chinese food, italian food, ramen, pizza and cake. we had this one eggplant appetizer and some grubbin' pizza and ramen with some cake.

learned of some interestin' news...ikko is gettin' married!?! i was totally shocked to hear that. she's known the guy for 4 years but they're probably only been datin' for less than a month. she just broke up with her boyfriend like 3 weeks ago!?

since hide and i drank too much beer @ lunch, we went back to his house to chill. way too tired to even try to go sanja matsuri. hide had to go to saitama while i had no plans. ended up meetin' w/a-chan for dinner and drinks. we met up with her friend from high school, sawako, who is also from tottori. what was funny about her was that she's a game freak. you couldn't tell by lookin' at her. now, she wasn't playin' any console game, but a pc game, a frickin' mmorpg @ that; ultima online. for a half a year! 2 characters!! so i had to ask her, if she built a house and she quickly replied, "yup, built it".

since she had to work the next day, sawako took off. so a-chan and got another bottle of tantakatan but we didn't finish it. we were takin' it easy. the food at the place wasn't bad. the kim chee pork was my favorite.

anyhow, met up with setocchi afterwards and he gave me a ride to the station in his car. we listened to a few of his new tracks. pretty sick ass beats. slowly startin' to understand the words.

came home, had to take a taxi from tsudanuma. stopped off @ serenade to say hi and then went home.

sunday; 05.16: chores, dinner with makuhari family

woke up early for some reason. did tons of laundry even though it was rainin'. also vacuumed a little bit.

headed to makuhari to have dinner. ami and sho picked me up from the station and then we headed to mom and dad's house. mama made a feast. katsuo, takenoko salad, grilled fish, tofu/tamago/tama negi, green salad. papa, sho and i killed 2 bottles of wine and we even had ice cream for dessert. ami told me that her brother hide just bout a new car. a silver nissan z roadster! 5,000,000 yen (about $50k). it's pretty dope. ami hasn't rode in it yet nor has hide's g/f!?

we watched the vball game, japan vs. russia. japan got rocked 0-3. the couldn't contain the 6'7" hitter from russia.

i headed home afterwards with my takenoko onigiri that mama made for me.

monday; 05.17

@ this mornin's teacher's meeting, found out that our soccer team is goin' to the prefecture championships. they qualified after takin' second place in the city championships.

also found out that our vball team won this weekend, so they'll be a top seed in next weekend city championships. i'll be goin' to that on sunday with a nomikai for the coaches afterwards. |(^-^)|

we finally got a replacement teacher for hashimoto sensei. murakami sensei. haven't had a chance to talk to her yet so i don't know much 'bout her.

for lunch today, everything was good except for this one dish, a kind of mountain potato. i usually it with something else, but we just had it plain.

man...it was way humid today. durin' my breaks, i always went outside to chill in the cool breeze. iwasaki sensei was lookin' very cute today, with her sleeves rolled and hair up. ; b

i'm thinkin' bout takin one of these next days off to go to chiba to get my re-entry permit. since the 9th graders are goin' on their field trip to kyoto, i'm not goin' to have many classes in the next 3 days.

well...i got a big day ahead of me tomorrow @ my elementary school. it's been almost 3 weeks since i've been there.

other stuff

been messin' around with gmail. did some research bout it and it seems to be a pretty intuitive, web-based email app. i'm still only gonna use it for large files (1gb storage).

with all the talk bout google's gmail, yahoo plans to upgrade their free email from 4mb to 100mb.

my buddies back @ prima are all into this new mmorpg called city of heroes. the premise of the game seems pretty koo...not sure if i have time (or da $$$) to be playin' a mmorpg though.
