A remote keyless entry device lets you unlock your car door from a distance with the click of a button, but someone with a receiver can pick up the signal your keyless remote sends, record it, and resend it later to unlock your car.

Japan News: Tokaido Shinkansen trains will begin making stops at JR Shinagawa Station in Tokyo from Wednesday, and observers expect many in related industries will be keeping an eagle eye on the new service, wary of its possible repercussions.
Airlines are feeling the heat and hotels located near Shinagawa Station are seeing jackpot signs with the opening of the new service. Shops in and near JR Tokyo Station are expected to beef up their efforts to attract customers in the face of the competition provided by the new service.
A ceremony and a reception to celebrate the new operations were held Tuesday, and people came to look at the brand new station platforms, ticket gates and concourse.
The occasion marks the opening of the first new such service in 15 years. About 186 trains, or slightly more than 60 percent of the total number of trains that travel the Tokaido Shinkansen line daily, will stop at Shinagawa Station, although no trains will start or finish their runs there.

BBALL, BA & MTV, Ikko and My New P8!
10.01.03
Man! It's already October!!! I've been in Japan now for over 6 months! Time seems to have flown by. I now fully understand what my sister told me about 1 year being too short!
Did any of ya'll check out MTV on Monday night? Heard from my buddies back home that Darrell was sportin' our Buddhapparel line. Check out the MTV site for more pics!
Anyhow...for lunch today, some students were shocked of the fact that I ate the natto that came with the A lunch! It was pretty good, yet another variation that I liked!
There was a little scuffle at school today with Takahashi sensei lecturin' about doin' this and not doin' this for more than half the class.
Played bball afterschool but kinda tweaked my hammy again and when I was biking home, my knee starting to ache a little bit. I've decided to take a week off to rest. But I've been keepin' a steady regimen of situps and pushups. Slowly startin' to rehab my shoulder too!
Went to Ikko cuz I was too lazy to cook dinner. Had some of Mama's miso shiru & yaki soba. Takahashi-san was there, haven't seen that guy in at least 2 1/2 weeks! Kuro-chan and Nakamura Sensei were there when I arrived. I was shocked to see sensei in a suit and tie. He usually comes scrubby to Ikko. Got in contact with Mikine and Junko. We're supposed to go out to dinner this Saturday...should be fun! Anyhow...Kohiyama came thru right as I was about to leave but he insisted to that I have a drink with him. I willingly complied. Anyhow...since Takahashi doesn't have work tomorrow, he was gettin' blasted!!! I asked Mama how many he's had and she told me at least 10 oolong his! Since he was OVER, I decided to walk him home. He had no idea where his house was. Luckily Mama called me up and met up with us and escorted him to his house. A crazy night!
When I got home, I noticed a paper in my mailbox from the delivery company saying that they couldn't deliver my camera because I wasn't home. Of course not, they're supposed to come tomorrow!! WTF!!
10.02.03
Nothin' really new at school. Taught all 7th grade as usual. Takeuchi sensei asked me to come with him for all of his classes tomorrow. Takahashi sensei helped me with the paperwork for my camera. The person on the phone, in the words of my father, "couldn't find it with both hands!" Since they couldn't deliver it to school, they'll come by my apartment later tonite.
Went to Matsu Kiyo to pick up some bread and some snacks. Saw Takahashi san's wife and sensei there. Sensei invited me over to drink, but I had to get back to wait for my package to arrive.
Came home and chilled, did some research for my FFL. Did some more laundry.
@ around 18:45ish, the delivery guy came by. I must say that it's a lot smoother than my P7. Will test it out tomorrow. The big decision is whether or not to go Memory Stick or Memory Stick Pro. The latter being not compatible with my 6-1 reader and PDA. Hmmm...maybe I'll have to upgrade my Clie and PC???
On TV, there was this program about living one month on only ichi man yen (roughly $85). There's three people: A pretty foreigner, a girl who makes crafts and a guys who is just straight up crazy.
The guy makes rice w/o water and uses milk instead. He has a chicken as a pet to lay eggs. He hella pressured the chicken by threatening to eat him for dinner! Seconds later, it laid an egg!! The girls all made dishes that looked hella good. The program kept track of how much each meal cost. Some of the dishes cost less than 100 yen (less than $1!). The crazy guy would do jump in a river and the ocean and catch fish. He caught a crab, some hako fugu (box pufferfish) and even an octopus. Everything he cooked was deep fried! The cute girl who made crafts won, she had 299 yen after living off 10,000 yen for one month, including utilities!
Well...I'm gonna call it a night. Here's an email I received from my mom's joke list. Enjoy!
